April 26, Intel Corporation and Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation agreement, the two sides announced that they will jointly research and development of a new generation of advanced software compiler. Within the two-year period stipulated in the cooperation agreement, both parties will conduct cooperative research on the key technologies for developing next-generation processors and compilers. The main task of a compiler in a computer is to translate software written in high-level programming languages such as C and C ++ source code into a binary language (machine code) that the processor can recognize.
