China Typhoon Museum is located in Daishan Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, with a total building area of 5,000 square meters. The museum resembles a sail, facing waves and waves, and watches the waters of the Thousand and Thousand Islands around the world. It is the first meteorological disaster-experiencing popular science museum with the theme of typhoon in China. Typhoon is always the champion of “Reelection” sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Meteorology every year in the “Most Destructive Natural Disaster on Zhejiang” voting process. Since ancient times, people's fear of natural disasters mostly stemmed from the lack of scientific knowledge, and this just became the motivation for the establishment of the China Typhoon Museum. It is necessary to establish a museum based on the knowledge of typhoon popularization of science so as to raise awareness of disaster prevention and disaster relief among island residents.
