1998年是全国实行新科目组考试的第四年,化学试题在命题指导思想、测试目标、题型结构、试卷长度等方面保持相对稳定的前提下,对试卷结构和题型结构作了适当的调整,调整了Ⅰ卷各大题的难度和数量,适当增加了Ⅱ卷信息迁移试题的数量,加大了试题的信息量,使试题更加突出了对学生的能力测试,充分体现了高考化学命题“基础、全面、科学、灵活,题型结构年年有新意”的鲜明特色,有利于指导中学化学教学改
