锑的毒性作用,一般认为和砷及其他重金属相似,系由於它与组织内酶系统的硫氢(-SH)基相结合,而妨礙其机能所致。因此硫氢化物二巯基丙醇(1,3—Dimercaptopropanol简称BAL)和半胱氨酸(cysteine)对三价锑剂酒石酸锑钾(antimony potassium tartrate)有解毒作用。
The toxic effect of antimony is generally considered to be similar to that of arsenic and other heavy metals due to its binding to the sulfhydryl (-SH) group of the enzyme system in the tissues, which hinders its functioning. Thus, the hydrosulfide dimercaptopropanol (BAL) and cysteine have a detoxification effect on the antimony trivalent antimony potassium tartrate.
