British hero Maugham’s masterpiece, “the yoke of humanity,” the hero Philip is a successful artistic image. Using the theory of famous psychologist Adler to analyze this image, we found that “compensation mechanism” and “inferiority complex” have obvious manifestations on him and have a profound impact.
