自从根据单季晚稻的三黑三黄变化,而进行丰产栽培的理論提出来以后,我們在冬小麦丰产試驗中,开始注意到相似的現象。1960年我們在北京农业大学实驗站潮土类型土壤上,进行深耕施肥后效試驗时,发現冬小麦(品种为早洋麦),也具有类似的三綠三黄的生理变化,并初步分析了小麦的这种生理現象及其实貭,认为这种生理特性可以作为控制水肥措施,以获得小麦丰产的标誌。关于小麦生育中具有黄綠变化的情况,是客观存在的事实。北京、安徽、河南等地的农民也有这方面的經驗。这里我們把观察到的現象,作一簡单的描述和分析:
