2001年7月,笔者与一批影友一起拍摄荷花。此前,我一般用佳能EF70～200L镜头来拍些花花草草等小品。当我借了尼康AF f105/2.8微距镜头装在尼康FM2机身上可以这么说,微距镜头将我带入一个令人耳目一新的摄影境地。顾不得炎热,就去购买与Canon EOS1N配套的微距镜头了。经比较,目光就停留在腾龙SP90mm和佳能EF100mm微距镜头上。当时经砍价分别是2600元和4150元。短暂考虑,还是拿下了佳能EF f100/2.8MU（镜头号:53003278）,原因有两个,一我是原厂主义者,在我的那套佳能系列摄影器材中至今保持着纯的血统,甚至连UV镜等都是原厂的;二佳能的微距镜头是新研发的产品,装入了USM马达,并且实现了内对焦,很吸引人。
