Chapter 4 Frequency Response The dynamic response of a system is evaluated by analyzing the steady-state response of a linear system or component to a sinusoidal input signal. This is the frequency response method in control theory. The so-called frequency response, refers to the input of sinusoidal signal output of the steady-state component of the complex number of inputs. When using the frequency response method to study the stability of a system, it is not necessary to obtain the root of the system characteristic equation, so that the computational workload is greatly reduced. The frequency response can be determined either analytically or experimentally, and for systems that are more complex or difficult to derive their differential equations numerically
