The high school English textbooks we currently use,no matter which version,are featured with wide selection of materials,diverse styles and abundant language knowledge,especially in the reading part,these features make it useful to cultivate students’reading ability.Reading teaching plays an important role in training thinking ability,comprehension ability,generalization ability and judgment ability’s of students.However,in traditional teaching,teachers only use the text material to teach students the grammar and language knowledge,ignoring the cultivation of students’reading and comprehension ability.The traditional way of asking questions about the reading comprehension often stays at the level of understanding the surface of the article.So,how to improve students’reading ability,comprehension ability and language proficiency?
