青藏高原是举世地学界瞩目的地区,被誉为打开地学宝库的一把金钥匙,是欧亚和印度两大陆板块碰撞的交接地带,高原的隆起和复杂的地形、地貌均和两大陆板块碰撞有关。因此,研究青藏高原的地质构造、演化历史及地球物理场特征,对于发展板块构造学说,研究板块动力来源等方面,均有重要的意义。 一九八○年五月在北京召开了“青藏高原科学讨论会”,国内外科学家进行了学术交流,开展了国际合作,把青藏高原的考察和研究推向了一个新的阶段。
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is an area attracting worldwide academic attention. It is regarded as a golden key for opening the treasure of geosciences. It is the handover zone for the collision between the Eurasian and Indian continental plates. The uplift of the plateau and complex terrain and landform collide with the two continental plates related. Therefore, studying the geological structure, evolution history and geophysical field characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is of great significance for the theory of plate tectonics and the study of the motive force of plate tectonics. The “Tibetan Plateau Scientific Symposium” was held in Beijing in May 1980, and domestic and foreign scientists conducted academic exchanges and conducted international cooperation to push the study and study of the Tibetan Plateau to a new stage.
