The discussion on “the fate of contemporary drama” has been more in-depth, covering a wide range. A well-known common sense is that there is no audience without drama. The audience’s support and participation are the primary preconditions for the survival and development of the drama. The audience is the crucial fundamental issue that determines the rise and fall of the drama. Although many articles participating in the discussion pay attention to this, it still seems that the overall consideration is not sufficient enough to reflect on it. It has not devoted much effort to discussing how drama can attract, fight for, train and hold audiences. The problem of the audience is solved, the crisis of theater ceases to exist, the problem of the audience is not solved well, and all other topics on the revitalization of the drama are vain and empty talk.
