改进大型四冲程发动机性能的一般方法是在膨胀冲程完成以后,利用保留在气缸里充量中的部分能量。废气增压利用了这种能量的一部分,涡轮将它转变成机械功,涡轮本身驱动压气机,在进气冲程末期给发动机增压。大型二冲程发动机用类似的方法增加充量。但此种方法只限用大型发动机,这是因为还不能制造适用于小型发动机的小型增压器。本文论述在不增加运动件而只用排气系统调谐的办法解决小型二冲程发动机增压的可能性。
A common method of improving the performance of a large four-stroke engine is to use part of the energy remaining in the charge in the cylinder after the expansion stroke is completed. Exhaust gas pressurization takes advantage of a portion of this energy, the turbine transforms it into mechanical work, the turbine itself drives the compressor, and the engine is boosted at the end of the intake stroke. Large two-stroke engines use a similar method to increase charge. However, this method only uses a large engine, because it is not possible to manufacture a small supercharger suitable for a small engine. This article addresses the possibility of pressurizing a small two-stroke engine with only exhaust system tuning without adding moving parts.
