礼教者,以礼为教,它是传统教育的重要组成部分,是儒家教育的核心内容,是传统教育制度确立时所依据的基本原则。就对个人的教育而言,礼教在横向上覆盖了一个人由己到物的过程,纵向上则延续了一个人由生至死的发展。就社会而言,礼教覆盖了小到人格养成、家庭伦理,大到社会规范、政治实践、文化认同等多个方面。1因此,礼教的传播,不局限于学校教育,同时也受到社会教育、家庭教育的影响。但在这三者之中,学校教育又是其最重要的场所。清末新政,教育先行,
