The second human rights knowledge training class was held May 29-June 3 in Xiamen.More than 60 cadres incharge of inteational communication from the central govement agencies and information offices of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities received training at the class sponsored by the Information Office of the State Council.Speaking at the inauguration ceremony were Wang Jinjun from the Information Office of the State Council, Zhu Qing, deputy director of the publicity department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and director of the information office of Fujian Province, and Lin Congming, deputy director of the CPC Xiamen City Committee.The Human Rights Readings for Cadres compiled by Cai Wu, Minister of the Information Office of the State Council was the main course book.The training program covered seven topics including concept of human rights and its historical evolution, how China has fought for and realized human rights, basic views of China on human rights, legal protection of human rights, UN human rights documentation and operational mechanism.
