在中国西部,有一条路,被称为河西走廊,它是通往西域的咽喉要道和战略要地,也是著名丝绸之路的重要组成部分。丝绸之路上,运送过珠宝、丝绸、香料,也带来过音乐、舞蹈、宗教和文化。佛的故事也和这条丝路有关。在最初的岁月里,佛教沿着丝绸之路传入中国,它征服了敦煌这座中国当初最西面的门户,又通过潜移默化去了更远的地方。任何宗教都没有佛教那样在中国得到这么广泛的传播。今天的我们,沿着古老丝路的旧日辉煌,用七天六晚的时间重走漫漫河西路。我们从河西走廊的东端开始走,来到天水的麦积山石窟,然后再继续前行,便看到了武威的天梯山石窟,
In western China, there is a road known as the Hexi Corridor, which is a key thoroughfare and strategic point to the Western Regions and an important part of the famous Silk Road.
