In Kentucky in the United States in 1952, Colonel Harlan Sanders, who had been in excess of sixty, began to devote himself exclusively to the business of fried chicken with a mere social aid of US$105. Perhaps even the gentleman himself did not expect that, 40 years later, the hometown chickens that make people “good to get fingers” will sell billions of copies each year. “KFC hometown chicken” not only settled in North America, but also in 59 countries around the world. KFC’s hometown chicken has become one of the largest retail food businesses in the world and a pioneer in the fast food industry.
