从多年的考古资料看,不少金代铜镜是颇具特色的,不管图纹设计还是浇铸技术,都表现出了一定的艺术水平。但过去对它很少作科学分析,大正七年(公元1918年),日本学者近重真澄分析了一枚;昭和十二年(公元1937年),小松茂、山内淑人分析了一枚,此外便所见甚鲜。这几位学者考察的主要是化学成分,未对金代铜镜工艺的一般情况作全面研究,所以笔者除了对化学成分的分析外,还考察了金相组织和表面状态,旨在更好地了解金代铜镜工艺,并从中探讨它与中原文化的联系。
