Abstract: The article has discussed the requirement of the canal monitoring system including design principle, security satisfaction of performance, etc. which have laid a very good foundation for the security open up to navigation and fast reaction.

Nowadays, the traffic has already become the economics lifeline of a country, including the highway, railway, aviation and waterway traffic. Among them there are one's own computers monitoring systems or control systems in the urban highways, railways and aviation, and the research in this respect of water transport traffic relatively lags behind.
1.Demanding to Monitoring System
Demanding includes offering the ripe products, the system is advanced, performance is reliable and steady. According to the detailed conditions of the canal, combine the advanced technology and experience of our country, build one collect official working, canal traffic safety monitor, water level monitor, wind-force monitor and patrol satisfaction modernized computer LAN of management that monitor.
