Objective To evaluate the clinical outcome of computer-assisted nodular goiter. Methods 30 patients were divided into the use of clinical pathways and non-use of the control group, compared with the control group in the length of hospital stay, hospitalization costs, patient and family satisfaction and health care workers evaluation of the system. Results The average length of stay and average cost of patients in the observation group were statistically different, and the system was approved by the medical staff under investigation. Conclusions The computer-aided clinical pathway management of patients with nodular goiter can reduce the average length of hospital stay, average hospitalization costs, improve the satisfaction of patients and their families for medical behaviors, and enhance the compliance of medical staff with the treatment guidelines.
