The “Single Sword Society” is a famous historical drama by Guan Hanqing. It is an excellent Yuan drama drafted by the author based on historical materials and folk tales. It creates a heroic image full of beauty, wisdom and courage and loyalty to the Han Dynasty. It also contains the strong Han national sentiment and serious orthodoxy.
