台湾高山族有多种来源,“其中从大陆迁去的古越人……是构成台湾高山族的主要成分”。三国时期,沈莹在《临海水土志》中将夷州(台湾)人称为“山夷”。最近,笔者在研究时发现,早在新石器时代,闽北的建瓯土著也称“山夷”。《建瓯县志·人口》载:“商周时期散落在福建有七支氏族,在闽北的为客家族,和当地土著‘山夷’相处。”这一史料为研究台湾“山夷”与古越渊源提供有力的根据。考察台湾“山夷”的来源,
