我省柑桔资源丰富,柑桔产量居全国首位,1987年预计产量将达到90万吨,柑桔除了一部分出口外,其余主要用作鲜食。柑桔的加工限于罐头、果汁、饮料及柑桔饼等,现在柑桔加工能力为产量的10%左右。柑桔中籽核含量约为2.4%,柑桔籽核中含有20—25%的油脂,是一种易被人体吸收的低热量食用油脂,在国外已用于糖果糕点中。在我国目前对柑桔籽核的利用,除极少数提供给医药部门外,大部分被废弃,还造成环境污染。以我省1986年的加工能力估计,从加工厂可得到柑桔籽核2000吨,随着工业的发展,柑桔的加工能力呈上升趋势,根据我省的发展规划,到2000年柑桔产量将达到300—350万吨,柑桔产量的1/3用
