寒山金矿床赋存的剪切带有两期变形活动。早期韧脆性变形作用是以位错滑移、双晶作用和重结晶作用等变形机制为主,形成各种类型的片糜岩。在变形过程中,大量流体进行水/ 岩反应。晚期变形作用以碎裂和破裂机制为主,形成各种脆性裂隙和角砾岩带。在早期开放的变形环境下,有利于成矿热液的活动和富集,是寒山金矿的主成矿期;晚期的脆性变形使金矿进一步富集
