《牛津高中英语》这套教材题材丰富,贴近学生的日常生活,学生在英语课程中可以学到许多英语语言知识以外的内容。这套教材的亮点是为学生提供了大量的语言学习和习得的task板块,每一个task的主题都可化解为skills building 1、2、3三块内容,分别从听、说、读、写几个方面设置具体任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中进行语言的输出训练,三个skills完成即完成了task设置的主要任务。Task板块是一个开放式的任务型活动,任务设计的形式多种多样,任务的载体丰富多彩,包括故事、对话、诗歌、书信、调查访问等。这一板块实际上体现了新课程的理念及英语教学改革的方向,目的是引导学生在完成任务的过程中使用英语,培养学生听说读写的综合技能,发挥学生的自主性、活动性和创造性。
