以苯乙烯(St)、丙烯酸丁酯(BA)、甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)、二甲基二烯丙基氯化铵(DMDAAC)为原料,以N-羟甲基丙烯酰胺(NMA)为功能性单体,采用种子乳液聚合法合成了阳离子苯丙乳液;利用红外光谱(FT-IR)、粒径分析仪对合成乳液进行了表征;研究了NMA、DMDAAC单体用量对阳离子苯丙胶乳施胶作用效果的影响,并将自制阳离子苯丙乳液与进口产品BK532表面施胶乳液进行了对比实验。研究结果表明,各共聚组分参与了共聚反应,当DMDAAC用量为1%时,乳液的平均Zeta电位为73mv;当NMA含量为4%,DMDAAC为1%时所合成的阳离子苯丙乳液表面施胶作用效果相对最好,施胶后纸张的强度性能和抗水性均有显著提高;在施胶量略小的条件下,其施胶作用效果与BK532相当。
