Detection limit or Limit of detection is an important indicator to evaluate the ability of spectrometric instruments and analytical methods to detect trace components. For a long time, it has been somewhat confused. As recommended by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in 1975 The limit of detection was defined in 1980 by the Analytical Chemistry ACS Branch, which reiterated that k = 3 should be chosen according to the required confidence level. Therefore, the concept of detection limit and its calculation method have been gradually unifying in recent years.
