In this paper, land satellite imagery and aerial photograph interpretation are used to establish a mathematical model of multiple regression with the ground sampling survey, and the environmental factors that can both extract from the remote sensing images and affect the growth of giant panda bamboo species. Based on multiple regression, the scores of each plots were calculated to evaluate the site quality grade of bamboo staples. It is concluded that the thick soil layer covering the lower part of northeastern gentle slope and mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest at middle and high elevation is the optimal habitat for giant bamboo and the optimum habitat for giant panda. Therefore, the use of remote sensing technology for site quality classification and compilation of Giant Panda environmental quality maps will play an active role in restoring and improving their habitat and management and protection.
