一、前言日本的抗震工程研究以1891年浓尾地震为转机正式开始进行。也就是说,抗震工程的研究差几年就到一个世纪了。因此,有关地震工程方面的研究论文数量逐年增加,人们对地震的关心程度依然很高。本文借抗震工程研究100周年之际,简单地回顾其发展过程,并对最近的抗震设计动向作一分析。其中难免有著者的臆测、偏见和费解之处,尚希见谅。
王前信1929年出生于湖北省武汉市。1952年毕业于武汉大学土木工程系,同年被选送到筹建中的中国科学院土木建筑研究所工作。到所后他立即参加了刘恢先教授领导的建所工程的设计与施工。1954年土木建筑研究所正式建立后,他转向结构工程的研究。在土建所壮观的大楼工程中留下了王前信的汗迹,他为土建所的诞生作出了贡献,堪称为建所元老之一。1956年我国制订了“十二年科学发展规划,”其中“地震对建筑物影响及有效
