燕香是北京市农林科学院林业果树研究所2001年以女峰(Nyoho)作母本、达赛莱克特(Darselect)作父本杂交育成的草莓日光温室促成栽培新品种。果实圆锥形或长圆锥形,一、二级序果平均单果重33.3 g,最大单果重54.0 g,果实橙红色;果肉橙红色,风味酸甜适中,有香味;可溶性固形物含量8.70%,总酸含量0.59%,维生素C含量727.60 mg/kg,果实硬度0.51 kg/cm2。在北京地区,露地栽培果实成熟期为5月中旬,果实发育期25天左右;日光温室栽培,果实成熟期为1月中下旬。2008年通过北京市林木品种审定委员会审定。
