自Baker和Williams提出梯度淋洗法测定聚合物的分子量分布以来,已被成功地应用于各种聚合物的分级,包括不同分子量的聚苯乙烯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、聚异丁烯、聚乙烯、聚氯乙烯、聚醋酸乙烯酯等等.梯度淋洗法是基于聚合物在柱上进行多次的溶解-沉淀平衡的原理使聚合物进行分级,故一般认为,此法是利用溶度分级中分级效率最高的方法.且方法快速,试样用量少,设备也不复杂,并能使操作自动化.
