Based on the fact that some primary and secondary school students have too much spare time on Saturday and the parents have no time to take care of themselves, the Japanese government has re-opened its exploration of “Saturday Classroom.” While integrating and using social resources, the project also focuses on creating a multi-dimensional education environment for children and alleviating the shortcomings of Friday day system. The “Volunteers Alliance” formed by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, universities, communities and enterprises is a major highlight of this reform. In the true sense, the concept of “private education” has been practiced in Japan. “Saturday Classroom ” has provided useful experience for the reform of basic education in our country.
