Liu Yuxi’s more than a dozen allegory poems are an important part of his rich and colorful poetry. This article analyzes and discusses the three aspects of its ideological content. It aims to illustrate the intricate social background of the Mid-Tang Dynasty as the soil of its allegory poems so that it has a strong political content and distinct characteristics of the times.
