As one of the most important chemical products in the 20th century, perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) is defined as “a substance that persists in the environment, is biologically storable and is harmful to humans.” Due to its biological toxicity and high bioaccumulation, in May 2009, PFOS was included in the Stockholm Convention as a new type of persistent organic pollutant (POPS), the potential environmental threat of PFOS and its contribution to human health Harms are also receiving more and more attention.
