本刊通讯员冼剑民报导: 当今社会经济的迅猛发展一般总有其特定的历史成因。总结历史发展规律能为今天的社会发展提供经验教训,使其能沿着正确轨道前进。所以广东社会经济史这一原来有着良好基础的研究领域在当今社会经济发展的形势下更加繁荣。除近年来陆续发表的学术成果外,去年秋“广东社会经济史暨电白县经济发展战略研讨会”上又云集了广东、香港两地的一批成果,这些论文重点研究明清之广东社会经济,有的还下溯本世纪初叶,是近年来这一领域研究成果的又一次荟萃。这些论文所反映出来的一个明显特点是研究领域、对象大为扩展,角度、层次上亦有新的突破,使地方经济史研究向着系统化、立体化迈进。从横向分支来看,水运史、外贸史、造船史、 Xin Jianmin correspondent reported: Today’s rapid economic and social development generally have their own specific historical causes.
