作者用整体解剖法,对不同生育期棉花全株生长点的分化系统进行了观测,发现前叶完全退化与有芽无叶的现象。对Mauney等人的“一叶一芽”论点提出了一些补充意见:主茎与分枝的每张叶片都只有一枚腋芽,子叶节以上,每个茎节有一叶一芽或有一芽而无叶片,果枝的每个节段具有顶生花原基与二个茎节以及1—2张叶片。又发现棉花全株生长点的分化系统是由单轴分枝与蝎尾状聚伞分枝等两种分枝式的多枝级与大量的生长点,按照一定的时间与空间序列组成的。
The authors used the overall anatomy method to observe the differentiation system of cotton growth point in different growth stages and found that the anterior leaf was completely degenerated and there was no leaf with bud.
