As VoIP users continue to grow, existing SIP servers are gradually revealing some flaws. In SIP applications, it divides users by domain and provides a SIP server in each domain through which users belonging to the domain can request services. If the server in the user’s domain goes down, the users in this domain can not get the desired SIP service, resulting in the problem of “single-store failure.” And when the number of users in a domain is too large, beyond the capacity of the SIP server in the domain, there will be “performance bottleneck ” problem. With the integration of P2P technology, just to solve these problems facing the current SIP. However, due to the lack of necessary authentication mechanism in P2P architecture, security problems are faced with enormous challenges. How to apply effective authentication mechanism to ensure security is the most important issue of P2P-SIP application architecture.
