HYDROTHERMAL fluids, circulated under earth surface, yielded infilling, replacement and thermal dynamic process when ascended near basin basement and resulted in sedimentation when vented into basin, anddeposited pure massive sulfide, chert, feldspar, barite, carbonate and tourmaline rocks with specialstructures, such as massive, laminated, banded, brecciated, stockwork, veinlet and vein which weredistributed in a zonation in space. Sometimes the hydrothermal sediments are mainly composed of microbios. The various types of hydrothermal sedimentary deposits are developed very well in several stages ofgeological history in China. This note will mainly discuss the hydrothermal sedimentary mineralization andthe formation of superlarge ore deposits in four metallogenic belts in China: Devonian belt in QinlingMountains; Sinian belt in South China; Middle Proterozoic belt in Inner Mongolia; Permian belt in SouthChina. 1 Devonian metallogenic belt in Qinling Mountains
