四川大学博物馆(原华西联合大学博物馆)旧藏手斧(hand axe)两件,编号分别为T727和 T737(图一、二)。发现的地点是西藏高原的东部,即原西康境内,今四川省甘孜藏族自治州。经过查对原始登记册,知道这两件标本均为休斯顿·埃德加(J.HustonEdgar)在本世记三十年代所捐赠。为了进一步了解这两件器物的出土情况,笔者又查阅了有关的文献,希望能找到一些新的线索。 Museum of Sichuan University (formerly the Museum of West China Union University) Handheld ax (hand ax) two, numbered T727 and T737 (Figure I, II). Found in the eastern part of the Tibetan Plateau, the original Xikang territory, now Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. After checking the original register, I knew both specimens were donated by J. Huston Edgar in the thirties of this century. In order to further understand the unearthed two artifacts, the author also reviewed the relevant literature, hoping to find some new clues.
