王家半坡滑坡位于天水市北山,属典型的间歇性黄土泥岩滑坡.野外调查和监测资料表明:王家半坡滑坡老滑坡属中型滑坡,其前缘复活的1~#、2~#滑坡属小型滑坡.滑坡体由黄土和新近系泥岩组成.该滑坡变形强烈,拉张裂缝、剪切裂缝多见,目前处于蠕滑变形状态,是在内外动力耦合条件下形成的.地形地貌、岩土结构、地下水对老滑坡的形成、发展起控制作用,1~#、2~#滑坡的复活受老滑坡滑带和裂隙控制,降雨是滑坡局部复活的主要引发因素.滑坡的变形破坏模式为蠕滑-拉裂型,并且呈现出多期的间歇性活动特征.
