文章认为,1997年韩国大企业集团出现的破产浪潮,是企业发育过程中缺乏市场竞争而未能按SCP循环来规范企业行为和改善企业绩效所造成的,也是韩国政府在初期催生大企业集团获得成功后,在认识上低估市场竞争的作用,推崇政府主导,没有及时实现由政府主导向市场主导过渡的必然结果。因此,它是多年积累隐患的总爆发,是由政府主导向市场主导过渡的阵痛,它意味着韩国的企业发育在外力作用下开始了强制市场化的过程
The article argues that the wave of bankruptcy that emerged in South Korea's large conglomerates in 1997 was caused by the lack of market competition during the development of enterprises and the failure to regulate corporate behavior and corporate performance on an SCP cycle.
