The Chinese government attaches great importance to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. From the fiscal scale, the Chinese government will invest 40 billion U.S. dollars in the construction of Beijing. For the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the host city of the Olympic Games, companies that support the Olympic Games will invest more than 2 billion U.S. dollars and 200 broadcasting and television companies worldwide will pay about 2.5 billion U.S. dollars to the Olympic Committee.
