在完成金刚石聚晶复合试验研究，成功地研制出性能优良的金刚石复合体之后，对金刚石复合体进行应用开发研究。将金刚石复合体加工成凿岩切削齿，应用于旋转钻头，设计制造了新型旋转钻头。该钻头与同类硬质合金钻头相比，尽管制造成本增加了４～５倍，但其使用寿命提高了２６０～２８０倍，使用时凿岩工效提高了１７～３５倍，其性能价格比占有显著优势
After completing the diamond polycrystalline composite experimental study, successfully developed a diamond composite with excellent performance, the diamond composite was applied and developed.
