乡镇中小学校锅炉使用现状是令人担忧的。就张家界市而言,目前乡镇中小学校在用锅炉有150余台,在检验过程中发现乡镇中小学校在锅炉使用管理上,存在诸多问题,值得引起高度重视。其主要表现在:一、锅炉设计不合理,制造工艺粗糙,焊接工艺差。该市乡镇中小学校目前在用的锅炉80%为小型汽水两用锅炉,以铝制锅炉居多,约占75%,不锈钢锅炉约占10%,碳钢锅炉约占15%。由于90%的锅炉均为2000年6月以前生产的,因而在设计制造上存在问题较多,一是20%的锅炉封头、锅壳为多块板材拼焊,焊接质量差,焊缝超高超宽,封头、锅壳基本上产生变形,有近一半锅炉的内胆、锅壳变形,焊缝裂纹漏水;二是有相当一部分锅炉的进水管、排污管、出汽管开在锅炉本体焊缝上;三是有近50%的铝制和不锈钢锅炉底部未设计手
