The earliest form of literature presented in the world is undoubtedly poetry. Chinese and Western classical narrative poems are two major aesthetic cultural systems formed under their own independent social background. They have very different functions. These differences are mainly manifested in social functions, ways of thinking, language expression and so on. Chinese classical narrative poems emphasize “lyric ” and “dialect ”; Western mainly “imitation ” and “cognition ”. This difference precisely illustrates the diversity of human cultures. Through this different literary phenomenon, we can learn more about the figurative history of different ethnic groups in a given period in the context of economic globalization.
