农业部于近年对１０个省份的调查显示：乡级平均负债４００万元，村级负债平均约２０万元。如今，乡村负债有增无减，严重的乡负债竟高达上千万，严重的村也过百万。
A survey conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture in 10 provinces in recent years shows that the average township debt is 4 million yuan and the village-level debt is about 200,000 yuan on average. Nowadays, the liabilities of rural areas are on an unprecedented increase, with severe rural liabilities as high as tens of millions and serious villages over one million.
