In order to understand the relationship between internet dependence and self-worth of college students, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 312 college students randomly selected using the “Scale of Adolescent Self-worth” and the “Chinese Internet Dependency Scale (CIAS-R) Revised Edition”. The findings are as follows: First, college students generally have a higher sense of self-worth. Generally speaking, their sense of self-worth comes from personal orientation rather than social orientation. The former focuses on psychological values while the latter tends to family values. However, Second, most college students are able to use the Internet properly. However, there are still a few students who have Internet dependence or even Internet addiction. They have shown that forced Internet access and the Internet rely on withdrawal reactions and their interpersonal and health problems are more obvious. Thirdly, there is a negative correlation between college students’ self-worth and Internet dependence. The higher their self-worth, the less likely they are to rely on the Internet. The self-worth of college students generally can predict their Internet dependence.
