据报导,日通产省工业技术院制定了一个大型计划,研究光应用测量控制系统。全系统分为三个分系统:信息传送、测量和控制分系统。研究费用200亿日元。从79年起,研究期限8年,90年代初达到实用化。 目前,对工厂等处的温度、压力、原材料的组成流量等各种信息的测量都用电的装置。随着工厂的大规模化和自动化取得进展,信息量在增大,在此情况下如使用电的装置,由于要处理微弱信号,则存在以下问题:由大电流所致的感应干扰,随爆炸事故而生的火花,使用电线而引起的成本提高等。而光的装置则没有这样的问题,且可把信息传送量(包括图象)扩大
