为解决我市原主栽芸豆品种中存在的豆荚商品性差、产量低、熟性晚、豆荚易老化等问题,我所科技人员于1986~1994年从国内外征集大量的芸豆品种试材,进行了分批分期试种观察,品比试验,筛选出熟性早、品质好的芸芸丰(623),1990年进行成果鉴定并应用于生产。在此基础上,对86-77、86-1、86-66等试材进行分离选种,选出优良变异单株,扩大繁植,从14个株系优中选优,经3~4年春秋季品比试验和多点试种、示范,决选出优质高产大荚型86-77-4,代号77,其特点为单荚重,商品性好,无筋,风味品质佳。3年平均亩产达2682.5kg,比对照品种增产31.5%。同时以同样的方法决选出适于秋季种植的芸豆新品系86-66-2,代号66,其特点是抗病性强,结荚多,品质好,亩产1500kg左右,比对照品种增产24.6%。1994年底经本省市同行专家对该项研究
