生产镇静钢时采用绝热板,保护渣、防缩孔剂组成的热帽技术,成坯率从1978年的78%,提高到85.5%以上;小钢锭的成坯率达到91%。近几年来,采用外铝型防缩孔剂、轻质绝热板、复合颗粒保护渣后,成坯率又有了较大的提高。锭型的改进也是提高成坯率的重要因素。目前,全国的28吨大扁锭一直到203.2毫米小钢锭都已采用热帽技术,但是,提高成坯率的潜力还不小,必须认真完善热帽
