英语本土化研究有利于深化对比语言学理论,丰富高等教育理论知识。建构英语本土化研究是指一种语言在某一地区被采用,而后再生的过程,部分是语言上的再生,部分是文化上的再生。在我国高校外语教学中,对跨文化交际的双向性存在错误理解,认为母语语言和文化阻碍外语语言学习,使得很多师生在教学和学习过程中重视目的语、轻视母语,同时重视目的语文化,轻视本土文化。因此,颠覆以往的高校外语教学中的本土化身份,推动其重构对促进高校跨文化教学的发展具有重要意义。
